Mauricio Ribero, who is from Brazil, the Brazilian Blowout is a hair-smoothing treatment for your crowning glory.
The treatment creates a protective protein
layer around each hair shaft to eliminate frizz and smooth the cuticle. This is not necessarily a straightening treatment; however, some of the curl, when smoothed, may be straighter. Results last up to 12 weeks.
What the treatment entails:
- Time: Depending on the length and thickness of your hair, the treatment may take up to two hours or more.
- Cleansing: Using
Brazilian Blowout Anti-Residue Shampoo, we will cleanse your hair up to four times to be sure it is properly prepped.
- Smoothing serum: After we towel-dry your hair, we will
be section it into quadrants. Then, taking very small partings of each
section, we will apply the unique smoothing serum
from scalp to ends, using very minimal product. Less is more.
- Blow dry: Using the Brazilian Blowout
round brush, we will blow-dry your hair.
- Heat set: Once it is dry, your hair will again be divided into four
sections and flat ironed at the specific temperature recommended for your hair type.
- Rinse and mask: Your sleek, flat-ironed hair will be rinsed and
the Brazilian Blowout Mask applied. The mask is left on for one minute, which is enough to lock in the
treatment. Then we'll give it a final rinse.
- Serum, blow-dry and style: Back at the chair, we will apply Brazilian Blowout Acai Smoothing Serum to further lock in the treatment. Then we will blow-dry and style your hair.
Following the treatment you can wash
